Threats to Roughleaf Aster (Eurybia radulina) include the fragmentation and loss of habitat from residential, tourism, and recreation development and urbanization.
Range Extent CommentsRoughleaf Aster (Eurybia radulina) occurs in the Pacific Northwest region of North America where it is known from southwestern British Columbia in Canada, Washington, Oregon and California in the United States. It occurs in the Cascade Range, Coast Range (south to the Channel Islands), and northern and central Sierra Nevada. Range extent was estimated to be 370,000 square kilometers using herbarium specimens and photo-based observations documented between 1993 and 2024 (FNA 2006, CCH2 Portal 2024, GBIF 2024, iNaturalist 2024, SEINet 2024).
