Locally common but endemic to the Bear River Range in Cache County, northeast Utah and adjacent Bear Lake County, Idaho. There are 2 good-sized occurrences in each state. The area in Utah is subject to heavy recreational use. Most sites need to be surveyed to find out if plants are extant, if threats have changed, and to assess the overall site condition.

Occurs in the Bear River Range, Cache County, Utah and in the vicinity of Paris Peak, Bear Lake County, Idaho.
Occurrences Comments
One occurrence in Idaho and about 3-6 confirmed extant occurrences in Utah. In Utah, there are 18 historic occurrences but they might still be extant.
Threat Impact Comments
Area subject to heavy recreational use. Possible change in status of privately owned land. Idaho sites seem to be free from disturbance and threats.

Limestone cliffs in the Bear River Range, in rocky crevices and along ridge tops, dry soil at 1830-2837 meters.
