Endemic to California, Rupertia hallii is known from a narrow range in Butte and Tehama Counties in the High Cascade Range. Within its range is is relatively abundant, with about 50,000 plants over about 850 acres of occupied land. However, the plant occurs in timbered areas where several disturbances may threaten it.

Threat Impact Comments
Most sites are threatened by logging activities including timber harvest or road building/maintenance. A few sites list recreation as a threat or ORVs. The plant can withstand some disturbance.
