Range Extent Comments
Hickman (1993) shows Allium crispum occurring within a 15,000 square mile area in central, western California. Collections as of Feb. 2007 (Consortium of California Herbaria) are all within a 50 mile strip which extends as far north as Oakland and as far south as Goleta, just north of Santa Barbara.

Habitat

Occurs on clay slopes, including serpentine (Hickman 1993).
