Taxonomic Comments
Recognized as a distinct species by Kartesz (1994 checklist), but included in the widespread species Mimulus aurantiacus by Hickman et al. (new Jepson manual, 1993). If recognized as a distinct species in the genus Mimulus, the correct name is Mimulus bifidus, not M. grandiflorus (a different species).
