Taxonomic Comments
Nesom (2004) elevates Erigeron decumbens var. robustior to the full species E. robustior, stating that the two taxa are disjunct, as well as "separated by consistent morphological differences... the magnitude of difference between them is consistent with other accepted species of Erigeron, particularly within the 'Erigeron eatonii A. Gray group,' of which they are a part." This is the view he presents in Flora of North America (2006b) as well.
