Taxonomic Comments
FNA (vol. 7, 2010) elevates Erysimum capitatum var. perenne (= E. perenne) to full species and only recognizes two distinct varieties (capitatum and purshii). E. capitatum var. capitatum includes: E. capitatum var. bealianum, E. capitatum var. angustatum, and E. capitatum var. lompocense. E. capitatum var. purshii includes: E. angustatum and E. capitatum var. argillosum.
