Heuchera abramsii is a perennial herb that is endemic to rocky soils in red fir forests of the San Antonia and San Gabriel Mountain region in Los Angeles and San Bernardino counties of California. There are an estimated 21 to 80 occurrences of this species, though differences between southern California Heuchera are subtle and difficult to distinguish. Most populations occur on protected National Forest lands, where anthropogenic threats are presumed to be low.

Heuchera abramsii is endemic to the San Antonio and San Gabriel Mountain region in Los Angeles and San Bernardino counties of California in the western United States (FNA 2009). Range extent was estimated to be 4,410 square kilometers.

Heuchera abramsii is ranked as "not very threatened in California" (CNPS 2024). Most populations occur on protected lands in the Angeles, Mt. San Antonio, and San Bernardino National Forests, where anthropogenic threats are presumed to be low (Calflora 2024).
