In the 1999 Kartesz dataset, the typical (nominate) variety of Lomatium plummerae (as in, e.g., Kartesz, 1994) is treated as a synonym of the widespread species L. donnellii (accepted by Kartesz in 1994 and 1999), but variety sonnei of L. plummerae (and its synonym var. austiniae) is treated at the species level as L. austiniae.
