Lomatium engelmannii is found in northern California and southwestern Oregon. This species has at least 50 occurrences. Threats to the populations include logging and possibly development.
Range Extent Comments
Lomatium engelmannii is found in northern California in Siskiyou and Trinity Counties, northward to southwestern Oregon, Josephine, and perhaps Curry County. The Oregon Natural Heritage Program only has reports from Josephine County.

The total occurrences estimated as greater than 50 in California and 16 in Oregon.
Threat Impact Comments
Logging and land development may be threats. Some California sites were discovered as a result of BLM land exchange surveys (land exchanges to private owners). Other surveys were pre-timber harvest.
Ecology & Habitat

Habitat

This species grows on serpentine slopes within conifer forests, usually in a Jeffrey Pine forest association (at least in Oregon).
