Taxonomic Comments
Kartesz (1994) and FNA (2016) accept Mentzelia oreophila and M. puberula as distinct, but Kartesz (1999) included M. puberula in M. oreophila. The second edition of The Jepson Manual (Baldwin et al. 2012) accepts them as distinct. This record is for the treatment of M. oreophila as distinct, excluding M. puberula.
