Oxtyropis nana is restricted to the basins of central Wyoming and occurs on rocky, barren ridgecrests or sparsely vegetated slopes. The species is known from approximately fifty locations. Few of these receive any formal protection, although at least one is in a Bureau of Land Management Area of Critical Environmental Concern.
Range Extent Comments
Restricted to the basins of central Wyoming, occurs in Albany, Carbon, Converse, Fremont, Natrona, Sweetwater and Weston Counties (Walt Fertig, personal communication 1999).
