Packera macounii is known from southern British Columbia, western Washington, western Oregon, and northern California (Flora of North America Editorial Committee 2006, NatureServe 2021).
Occurrences Comments
In Washington, there are 3 extant occurrences; Packera macounii was historically more widespread in prairie habitats in Puget Sound, but is now extirpated there (W. Fertig, pers. comm., 2021). The number of occurrences in British Columbia, Oregon, and California is not known but based on herbarium records may be approximately 70 (CPNWH 2021, CCH 2021).

Habitat

Occasional in meadows and along the coast. Open woods and dry open places.
