West WY from the Gros Ventre and Wind River mts., south into Utah through the Uinta Mts., east slope of the south Wasatch Mts. from park City southward , and in the Wasatch and Fish Lake plateaus; also in the vicinity of Pocatello, Idaho.

Habitat

Moderately moist to dry places on exposed sagebrush slopes and open Gambel oak scrub, aspen, or fir woods, 1800-3300 m elev.
