Found in southern Utah, southern Nevada and northern Arizona in warm desert and salt desert shrub communities. Rare in Nevada and known from three sites in Arizona and five counties in Utah.
Range Extent Comments
Utah in Garfield, Grand, Kane, San Juan, and Washington Counties (Welsh et al. 1993); Arizona (Coconono County at Lee's Ferry, Navajo Bridge, Houserock Valley); Nevada at North Shore Road and Muddy Mountains, which are both in Clark County (Kartesz 1988).
Occurrences Comments
9 sites in Utah (Albee et al. 1988). Rare in southern Nevada (Kartesz 1988).
Ecology & Habitat

Habitat

Warm desert and salt desert shrub, commonly on gypsiferous substrates on the Moenkopi, Chinile and Cutler formations, 760-2060 meters (Welsh et al. 1993). Creosote bush.
