Rank Reasons
This species has a limited number of individuals in a very restricted range. Threats are limited, but overall acreage small. No sites officially protected although some appear to be naturally protected.
Range Extent Comments
This species is limited to the Applegate and Little Applegate River drainages of Jackson County, Oregon and Siskiyou County, California with one lone site barely in the Klamath River basin in California. About six populations are known from Siskiyou County, California. Total range for this species is about 20 x 17 miles.
Occurrences Comments
45 element occurrences known.
Threat Impact Comments
Taxon appears to be threatened mainly in California; Oregon populations seem stable. California populations may be threatened by logging (and associated road construction) and horticultural collection. At least one nursery is selling plants collected from Oregon populations (which may reduce collection pressures).
