Endemic to Colorado Plateau. Widespread in eastern Utah and abundant in western Colorado. Favors selenium rich soils in salt desert shrub communities.
Range Extent Comments
Found in Utah (Carbon, Daggett, Duchesne, Emery, Garfield, Grand, San Juan, Uintah, and Wayne counties (Welsh et al. 1993). Also western Colorado (Weber 1987).
Occurrences Comments
45 sites in eastern Utah (Albee et al. 1988). Watson (1977) indicates "widespread" in Colorado Plateau; while Weber says "abundant" in lower valleys of Colorado.
Ecology & Habitat

Habitat

Salt desert shrub community; 1250-1985 meters (Welsh et al 1993). Selenium rich soils (Watson 1977). Weber (1987) mentions clay hills. Dry plains and hills.
