Taxonomic Comments
This broad concept follows Flora of North America Editorial Committee (2016) which treats southwestern US material as part of P. parviflora as did Kartesz (1994). This material is not in the narrower treatment recognized as P. palustris var. parviflora by Kartesz (1999).
