Range Extent Comments
Resident in lowlands of the neotropics (to 2400 m) from northern Sinaloa, eastern San Luis Potosi, and Tamaulipas south to Panama, and from Colombia, Venezuela, Trinidad, Tobago, and the Guianas south, east of the Andes, through eastern Ecuador, eastern Peru, Bolivia, and Brazil to Uruguay and northern Argentina (Sibley and Monroe 1990). Ranges north to the southwestern U.S. and southern Texas.
