Taxonomic Comments
Not considered distinct from Saxifraga rivularis by Kartesz (1999 Floristic Synthesis). The Saxifraga debilis, S. flexuosa, and S. rivularis complex is very difficult. S. rivularis ssp. flexuosa (Sternb.) Gjaerev. has been considered distinct by some and may have also been considered part of S. debilis (?); however, FNA (vol. 8, 2009) does not consider S. rivularis ssp. flexuosa a synonym of the S. debilis they accepted as distinct from S. rivularis.
