Taxonomic Comments
Kartesz (1994, 1999) included Mimulus glabratus ssp. utahensis in Mimulus glabratus var. glabratus (which is shown from California to Texas). Barker et al. (2012) published the new combination and rank Erythranthe utahensis (with range California, Nevada, Utah, and Colorado) and separately recognized Erythranthe glabrata (with no infrataxa distinguished) as a distinct species (from Mexico, Guatemala, Nicaragua, and Colombia) (Nesom 2012).
