Astragalus agrestis is known from British Columbia, north to Alaska, Yukon and Northwest Territories, east to Newfoundland and south to Idaho, Montana, New Mexico, Washington and northeastern Oregon.
Range Extent Comments
In the northern half of the Great Plains (Great Plains Flora Association, 1986). In California, occurs in the Modoc Plateau region (Hickman, 1993). British Columbia, north to Alaska, Yukon and Northwest Territories, east to Newfoundland and south to Idaho, Montana, New Mexico, Washington and northeastern Oregon (Douglas, 1989). In Utah, occurs in 21 counties (Welsh, 1993). In Nevada, known from the northern portion of the state only (Kartesz, 1988).
Ecology & Habitat

Habitat

This species is found along shorelines, in low areas of meadows and prairies. It needs sun and moist soil (Minnesota Wildflowers, 2022).
