Number of Occurrences81 - 300
Rank Reasons
Although limited in number of individuals and limited in range (southwestern Oregon and northern California), the threats for this species do not appear to be imminent or significant.
Range Extent Comments
Its range is limited to the Siskiyou region of SW Oregon, Curry County, and adjacent California.
Occurrences Comments
Oregon has 46 sites of which 35 are considered recent. There are around 66 occurrences, possibly more, in California
Threat Impact Comments
This species does occur in areas that have been logged but it is not known if logging activities directly impact the plants. The known sites in Oregon appear to be in the rather open, shrubby areas, where timber values are less. The California Natural Diversity Data Base considers this species threatened within the state, mostly due to logging. Many of the reports in the file came from foresters doing pre-logging surveys. Mining and vehicles may also threaten CA sites.
