Taxonomic Comments
This record represents the broad concept of Calliandra eriophylla including C. conferta following Flora of North America Editorial Committee (2023). In contrast, Kartesz (1994, 1999) recognized C. conferta and C. eriophylla as distinct species, with two varieties distinguished in C. eriophylla (var. chamaedrys and var. eriophylla).
