Taxonomic Comments
This is the record for a narrow treatment of Fallopia scandens (=Polygonum scandens) that excludes F. dumatorum (= Polygonum scandens var. dumetorum) but includes F. cristata (=Polygonum scandens var. cristatum), as recognized by Freeman and Hinds in FNA (2005, vol. 5) and Weakley et al. (2025).
