Taxonomic Comments
This record is for the treatment of Erythranthe moschata as a distinct species from E. ptilota (with Mimulus moschatus var. sessilifolius as a synonym), but including M. moschatus var. longiflorus, M. inodora, and M. moniliformis in synonymy, as recognized in FNA (2019). Nesom (2012) split parts of E. moschatus into distinct species, recognizing Erythranthe moschata, E. moniliformis, and E. inodora as distinct species. Kartesz (1994/1999) recognized four distinct varieties in M. moschatus: var. moschatus, var. longiflorus, var. moniliformis, and var. sessilifolius.
