Range Extent Comments
Amphiberingian, found in every province and territory in Canada except NS and PEI, in USA found in AK, ID, CO, MO, NV, WA, WY and in Russia and Greenland. The population appears to be most abundant in YT and AK.
Occurrences Comments
Over 300 populations are known for the Yukon Territory alone.

No threats are known in its northern range.

Diagnostic Characteristics

From CNHP Wetland Guide 2012: Main Characteristics:
·Flowering stem lacking a leaf
·Petals 1-3 nerved, 3.5-6.5 mm long, as long or shorter than sepals
·Staminodes divided into 2-6 filiform lobes

Habitat

This species is found in wet calcareous rocky places, meadows, open conifer forests, and snowbeds, as well as on moist or seasonally dry shores, stream banks, riverbanks, seepage areas, tundra, and talus, at elevations ranging from 0 to 3,800 meters (Ball, 2020).
