Taxonomic Comments
This record is for the narrow treatment of Ephedra viridis excluding E. cutleri (=E. viridis var. viscida) as recognized by Stevenson in FNA (1993, vol. 2) and Kartesz (1999) and is equivalent to E. viridis var. viridis of Kartesz (1994).

Range Extent Comments
Green ephedra is known from Oregon and California east to Nevada, Utah, Arizona, Colorado, and New Mexico. In Wyoming, it is found in Sweetwater County.
