23 Utah specimens reported in Utah Flora (1987); two Wyoming occurrences---only small portion of overall range, so probably many more.

Habitat

Dry upland habitats, including desert shrub and pinyon-juniper communities in UT. Dry hillsides and limestone slopes, 5000-7000 feet, in WY.
