As treated here (following Kartesz, 1999), Brickellia brachyphylla excludes B. hinckleyi and its varieties hincklyei and terlinguensis, which have sometimes (e.g., Kartesz, 1994) been treated as varieties of B. brachyphylla. LEM 8Feb01.
