Taxonomic Comments
This record is for the broad treatment of Erigeron pulcherrimus as recognized in Nesom's FNA (2006, vol. 20) and Allred and Ivey's (2012) treatments which includes E. bistiensis as indistinct. Those treatment are equivalent to the treatment in Kartesz's 1994 Checklist which was published before E. bistiensis was described (by Nesom and Hevron 1995). Kartesz's 1999 Synthesis did recognize E. bistiensis. FNA (2006) also includes E. pulcherrimus var. wyomingia in synonymy.
