OR (Harney and Wallowa cos), WA, ID, TX (Trans-Pecos), CA (south Klamath Ranges, Piute Mtns, Kern Co., south High Sierra Nevada, north base of San Bernardino Mts., White and Inyo Mts, Desert Mtns), and northern MX.

Habitat

Dry hills and cliffs (Peck, 1961). Limestone, 850-2200 m in CA (Hickman, 1993). "On rocky hills, ledges, rimrock and in dry washes in the Trans-Pecos" TX (Correll & Johnston, 1970).
