According to Tropicos (accessed 2/7/23), the previously used name for this taxon (e.g., in Kartesz 1994), Mertensia alpina G. Don (published in 1837) is a later homonym of Mertensia albina (R. Br.) Poir. (published in 1814). The correct name for the species (per Kew's Plants of the World Online, accessed 2/7/23) is Mertensia tweedyi Rydb.
