Rank ReasonsThere are approximately 68 occurrences from at least 10 counties in Colorado and Wyoming, plus an unknown number from New Mexico.
Range Extent CommentsThis species is known from Colorado,Wyoming and New Mexico(Kartesz and BONAP 1998). It is known from at least nine counties in Colorado, Teller, Park, Larimer, Lake, Hinsdale, Gunnison, Costilla, Clear Creek, and Boulder (Colorado State University Herbarium 1999).
The Plants Database (1997) reported this species from Nevada and Utah in addition to Colorado, Wyoming, and New Mexico; however. Kartesz's new database reports only the three latter. The Nevada Natural Heritage Program does not track this species nor do they have any information (pers. comm. James Morefield NV NHP 1999 to Kim Fayette). This species is not included in the Utah Flora nor is it in the Utah NHP database (pers. comm. Ben Franklin UT NHP 1999 to Kim Fayette). Alberta CDC keeps a record, but their "SU" rank indicates lack of information on its actual status.
Occurrences CommentsThere are 46 specimens at the CU Herbarium (University of Colorado Herbarium 1999). There are 15 specimens from 9 counties (Teller, Park, Larimer, Lake, Hinsdale, Gunnison, Costilla, Clear Creek, and Boulder) at the CSU Herbarium (Colorado State University Herbarium 1999). This species is ranked an S2 in Wyoming (pers. comm. Walt Fertig WYNDD 1999 to Kim Fayette). It is assumed there are at least 6 occurrences in Wyoming.
