Taxonomic Comments
Kartesz (1994) and Weakley (2023) recognize Liatris pauciflora and L. secunda as distinct species. In contrast, Flora of North America Editorial Committee (2006) treated L. pauciflora in a broad sense with two varieties (var. pauciflora and var. secunda).
