FNA (vol. 9, 2014) expands the concept of Rubus hispidus to include R. blanchardianus, R. cubitans, R. huttonii, R. paganus, R. pervarius, R. plus, R. porteri, R. provincialis, R. signatus, and R. vigilis, while Kartesz (1994) here treats them as distinct.
