Rank ReasonsCicuta bulbifera is known from most of Canada south to Washington, Idaho, Wyoming, Nebraska, and the mid-Atlantic states. It is rare along the fringes of its very broad range.
Range Extent CommentsIn New Jersey (Hough, 1983). Is known from sixteen counties in Illinois (Mohlenbrock, 1978). In the Great Plains, from northeastern North Dakota to northcentral Nebraska (Great Plains Flora Association, 1986). Ranging from Newfoundland west to Alaska, south to Maryland, northern Virginia (?), Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, Nebraska, Idaho, and Oregon; disjunct (perhaps introduced only) in North Carolina and Florida (Weakley, 1997).
Occurrences CommentsKnown from more than fifty occurrences in Minnesota (Ownbey, 1991). One occurrence in West Virginia (Strausbaugh, No Date).

This species is found in marshes, swamps, wet meadows, prairies, and fields (Wildflower Center, 2012).
