Taxonomic Comments
Trock's treatment in FNA (2006, vol. 20) says characteristics used to delimit varieties of Packera streptanthifolia "often overlap and are difficult to score." Kartesz (1999) treats Senecio streptanthifolius (as in Kartesz, 1994) as Packera streptanthifolia without recognition of infraspecific taxa and recognizes P. moresbiensis separately as a species; it is sometimes treated as a variety of Senecio streptanthifolius. FNA (2006) recognizes that taxon as a variety of Packera subnuda.
