Taxonomic Comments
This record is for the broad treatment of Cakile edentula as recognized in FNA (2010, vol. 7) which includes C. edentula ssp. harperi and C. edentula ssp. edentula, which is comprised of var. lacustris and var. edentula. Weakley et al. (2023) recognize the treatment of these taxa as three separate species where C. edentula excludes C. harperi (= C. edentula ssp. harperi) and C. lacustris (= C. edentula ssp. edentula var. lacustris).
