Taxonomic Comments
This record is for the broad treatment of Viola blanda, including V. blanda var. palustriformis, as recognized in Kartesz (1994, 1999). Little and McKinney in FNA (2015, vol. 6) also recognize the species broadly and do not recognize V. blanda var. palustriformis as distinct. Ballard et al. (2023) treat V. blanda var. palustriformis as V. incognita, and a more narrow treatment of V. blanda which is equivalent to V. blanda var. blanda of Kartesz (1994, 1999).
