Diagnostic Characteristics

This VACCINIUM is the only one in our area that has hairy twigs and leaves.

Habitat

This species is found in disturbed or open areas in boreal forests, in muskegs and bogs, mountain meadows, as well as on barrens, headlands, and outcrops, at elevations ranging from 0 to 1,700 meters (Vander Kloet, 2020).
