Taxonomic Comments
FNA (vol. 5, 2005) elevates Cerastium arvense ssp. velutinum to full species level as C. velutinum. FNA (vol. 5, 2005) also transfers C. arvense ssp. velutinum var. velutinum to C. velutinum var. velutinum, and C. arvense ssp. velutinum var. villosum to C. velutinum var. villosissimum.
