Taxonomic Comments
This record is for the narrow treatment of Castilleja septentrionalis, excluding plants of the Rocky Mountains as the distinct species C. sulphurea, as recognized in Kartesz (1994, 1999). Egger et al. in FNA (2019, vol. 17) find broad morphological overlap between them and recognize C. septentrionalis broadly, including C. sulphurea as indistinct.
