Taxonomic Comments
Flora of North America (vol. 24, 2007) recognizes two subspecies (secunda and juncifolia). Poa juncifolia, P. ampla, and P. nevadensis are included in Poa secunda ssp. juncifolia; P. canbyi, P. gracillima, P. incurva, P. sandbergii, and P. scabrella are included in P. secunda ssp. secunda.
