Widespread in Coastal Plain wet pinelands, although uncommon and occasional. Overall abundance not known.
Range Extent Comments
Southeast North Carolina south to Florida, and west to Louisiana (Weakley 1996). Kartesz (unpublished data 1995) adds Maryland, Virginia and Texas. Clewell (1985) reports Holmes County eastward in the Florida Panhandle.
