Taxonomic Comments
FNA (vol. 7, 2010) does not recognize varieties of Stanleya tomentosa. From FNA (vol. 7, 2010), "R.C. Rollins (1993) recognized two varieties and distinguished them primarily on the basis of having sparsely pilose (var. tomentosa) versus glabrous (var. runcinata) distalmost stems. The distinction is artificial and unwarranted."
