According to Weakley (Nov. 2012 draft), Paronychia montana as treated by Kartesz (1999) and P. fastigiata var. pumila of FNA (vol. 5, 2005) are equivalent concepts. Kartesz (1999) and Kartesz (1994) appear to accept the same treatment of P. montana.
