Taxonomic Comments
Crum and Anderson (1981) granted that some specimens could be sorted into Rhytidiadelphus subpinnatus and R. squarrosus. FNA vol. 28 (2014) also treats them as distinct. Anderson et al. (1990) included R. subpinnatus in R. squarrosus.
