Taxonomic Comments
FNA (vol. 12, 2016) treats Oxalis albicans, O. californica, and O. pilosa as distinct species. In contrast, Kartesz (1994) considered O. albicans to be comprised of three subspecies (ssp. albicans, ssp. californica, and ssp. pilosa).

Oxalis albicans ssp. pilosa ranges from northwestern to southern more or less coastal California (below 200 meters) to northern Baja California (perhaps) and eastward through inland Mexico (e.g. Sonora) and southern Arizona to southwestern New Mexico and perhaps western Texas, and perhaps also southward in Central America.
