Taxonomic Comments
This record is for the broad treatment of Schkuhria pinnata as recognized in FNA (vol. 21, 2006). Strother's treatment in FNA notes that "Schkuhria pinnata var. wislizeni (A. Gray) B.L. Turner is a superfluous, illegitimate name intended to refer to North American plants of S. pinnata" and includes S. anthemoidea and S. anthemoidea var. wrightii in synonymy. Kartesz (1994) recognized S. anthemoidea and S. wislizeni as species, distinct from S. pinnata; Kartesz (1999) accepted wislizeni as a variety of S. pinnata and S. anthemoidea as a distinct species.
